I guess if I'd known that blogging was this easy, I'd have done it a while ago, although I'm not sure how blogging will be useful to me. I'm sure to find out over the next ten weeks though.
I find that this type of new technology is stimulating and entertaining to me and I look forward to the other things that I will learn over the coming weeks. I also hope to share this knowledge with my colleagues in the Literacy Department.
What do people normally blog about? Should there be a theme or is it just a way to vent?

Great first post. Blogging can be used for the same diverse reasons people use the phone or a camera or a paintbrush. Some use it to vent, some to share their creativity, some to teach others.
Oooo- I like the idea of venting.
Hi, Brenda/Blossom
Writers use blogs a lot. A blog can help create an audience for your work, and perhaps aid in getting it published. I've not tried it myself, but I know writers who blog.
There are different kinds of blogs, too. Corporate blogs are good for business. Same with our library blogs.
Blogs are often created that zero in on a specific subject - books, music, gardening.

It's one of the best known book blogs around.
